About

Notch is a multi-mode counter, score keeper, and tracker for anyone who counts something more than once. The free tier covers up to 3 saved counters, 3 saved score games, one Exercise tracker, one Vitamin / Medication tracker, and unlimited water tracking.

A one-time $3.99 unlock adds ten more tracker presets: exercise, vitamin / medication, symptom, custom, journal, habit / streak, mood, sleep, weight, and Pomodoro / focus (plus coffee, soda, and custom drink variants); unlimited saved items; trends by hour, day, week, month, or year; a calendar heatmap with up to five tracked items overlaid; a home-screen widget; encrypted local backup and restore; and CSV export.

Notch is live on Google Play now; it's also built for iPhone and iPad and coming to the App Store. Because each store handles its own purchases, a Pro unlock bought on one store does not carry over to the other.

What it does

  • 13 tracker modes in one app: Counter, Score, Drinks, Exercise, Vitamin / Medication, Symptom, Custom, Journal, Habit / Streak, Mood, Sleep, Weight, and Pomodoro / Focus
  • Every event is timestamped and editable; long-press any history row
  • Trends by hour, day, week, month, or year, shareable as an image
  • Calendar heatmap with up to five counters overlaid
  • Home-screen widget for one-tap access to a chosen counter (Android)
  • Local data only; the sole network use is verifying your purchase

Accuracy and limitations

Notch is a tracking tool, not a medical device. The Vitamin / Medication and Symptom presets record the numbers you enter; they do not validate doses, check interactions, or provide medical advice. Talk to a healthcare professional about any treatment decision.

Permissions Notch requests

Internet · Android only
Used only to verify and restore your Pro purchase with Google Play or the App Store. Notch stores every counter, tracker, journal entry, and event on the device; none of it is ever sent anywhere.
Notifications · Android only
Requested only if you turn on the optional daily reminder for a Vitamin / Medication tracker. Never requested at launch or for any other tracker type.
Boot completed · Android only
Re-registers your pending Vitamin / Medication reminder after a device restart or app update, both of which clear scheduled alarms. Grants no data access and opens no network path.
