Accuracy and limitations
Pocket EDC's leveling, compass, and tilt tools read your device's built-in magnetometer and accelerometer. These are consumer sensors that drift, that respond to nearby ferrous metal and electronics, and that need a brief figure-8 motion to calibrate after a magnetic disturbance. Readings are useful for everyday work but should not be relied on for safety-critical, navigational, surveying, or professional measurement purposes.

- For the Signal Mirror tool, which computes the current sun position from your latitude / longitude / time. Location is read on-device only and is never stored or transmitted.
